What are nurse internship programs? Will participating in an internship benefit your future nursing career? Nurse internship programs are paid, part-time or full-time, temporary employment opportunities. They are designed for nursing students eager to gain knowledge and clinical experience in various health care settings.
The Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Nursing Internship Program was created to provide internship opportunities for undergraduate nursing students in Pennsylvania. This program offers two distinct internships: a nursing internships at an Independence Blue Cross administration setting and another internship at a community health center clinic. Students who want to gain experience in the health care and insurance administration setting are encouraged to apply for the internship at the Independence Blue Cross.
Experience in the field of public health can be obtained from the internship conducted at the community health center clinic. To be eligible for either internship, nursing students must attend an accredited nursing program in southeastern Pennsylvania. Both internships have application deadlines, require ten weeks to complete, and are offered during the summer from the beginning of June to the middle of August.
